So the week has passed. My husband came home early Friday morning (like 1:30 a.m.) and he still had to go to work later that morning (around 9) which sucked. But, that's the way of the Army. At least he got to skip PT. He talked to Branch, there *are* still slots available at Fort Carson. But, we still have no official word yet. His contact told him that they have a meeting on Tuesday and will discuss how to fill those slots. Hopefully instead of just taking people who have not volunteered and have two or more years left, they'll take Thomas who has been interested all along. So, either Tuesday or Wednesday, hopefully we'll know more. The Army: Hurry Up And Wait.
Last night we went to our friends house and played games. We were there until 2am! Xander fell asleep around 11, but Jamey was up until we went home. That really suprised us.. we kept expecting him to fall asleep, but he never did. I think next time we go we'll turn off the video games at a certain time, and have them lay down on sleeping bags for a movie. We played Risk (which I was very suprised to like!!), Phase Ten, and some kind of dice game.. not sure what it is called. It was a lot of fun though. Finally, we have friends that we like doing things with. Of course, either one of us, or both of us, could be moving in the next six months. Doesn't that just figure?
Well, I need to go see if Thomas has Xander back in bed - hopefully he does because I need to go finish up in the kitchen!
